Memetic Justification

The actor does not act immaturely, he acts. After the act there is reflection. As time passes he will re-reflect his opinion modified by a new point of view. To an observer he acts as well, but when they reflect will undoubtedly have a different opinion.
The idea of maturation, or any other idea that is based on the passage of time and change in opinion of the actor, is an example of memetic programming. On the first account there is the change from first opinion to the second. Also the erection of the belief that change in a clear and defensible progression of events has occurred.
During the first account the memetic point-of-view has been altered, maybe triggered by the relentless opinions of others on the act, or some other event has occurred setting the individual up for memetic rewriting. Once this change has been cemented a moment of reflection can occur. During this reflection the mind will have to create a new path for the dominant neural pulse that will conclude that the change in memes has been a change in character and the change in character has been a progression.
This draws us to the second phase, where the "progression" itself takes on a popular meme. "Progression" is a meme and the form it takes will be labeled. In this instance it is called maturation, the destination maturity. This idea is that a common change, a healthy change, occurs with age. We recreate our memories to endow certain events in our lives as being "maturing". Finally, the beginning point is labelled as immature, the opposite of the actors current state.
What is happening is a series of memetic changes, tied together as a memecomplex. This complex gives us an inconsistency and so we rewrite our view of history with another memecomplex which is a common way of dealing with said inconsistency.
