It is interesting that those stark physical
differences between ourselves and Chimpanzees appeared comparatively early in our evolution, but our culture, music, and art appeared so recently. What is also facinating is there are only six million pairs in DNA and of those many appear to be redundent or obsolete, but in our brains there are billions of combinations of neural connections. It appears that within those few last genetic changes a complex formula has generated a truly amazing outcome. A few protein formula's lay the groundwork for a massive network organ. If memecomplexes are the gestalt synergy of our communication networks and that is the macro version of our neural gestalt synergy, which produces the mind, then what is the macro equivelent of the individual mind acknowledging its own simple naked self? When humanity has evolved passed religion and nationality, when communication technology has transcended space and time what motivates our interaction and what form does it take? Can selfishness without a self or individualism without an "I" for comparison have the impetus to interact with equally ambigous entities? |
