Infovores, digital memories, reputation systems, and memes! This game sounds like real life, but fun. That sounds a little pessimistic, no?
For example, they could use Ghosting to track a sneaky, discrete courrier they heard about. Then, they could play a Wetwork challenge to discreetly wipe him out and grab that ancient computer disk it transported. They could then use breaking to find and extract Data from the disc. That data would then be Thin Sliced (another skill) to give the Data specific meaning within the setting. That Data could then be flooded (another skill) in someone’s brain by stealing one of the target’s memory (yet another challenge). Finally the players turn that stolen memory into a song (using the Ephemera skill) and blare it across the station to create a new Meme. Learn more here Labels: Freemarket_RPG, games, quicky

The most exciting thing to happen to this blog in years was spam. Someone, possibly with a German email server *gasp*, used the email feature of Blogger/Blogspot, guessing my former secret email address, to publish posts. I'm so glad this, currently, badly formatted site can attract the attention of eager spammers. It has made me think that the spirit of Memetic Horizon would be well served by letting a bit of chaos into the mix, of allowing the unadulterated Internet and its culture birthing madness to find a warm, fertile ground here. Plus, it would allow the site to get updated much more frequently then what I've been willing to offer thus far.
So, I'm going to think about where I would like to post my invitation to spam my site, obviously not here, as not even I visit the site LOL! Hmmm... -- Michael
